Ex-LMS 4-6-2 Coronation class No 46242 'City of Glasgow' is seen
at the head of the Royal Train passing through Nuneaton station's platform
four. Built in streamlined form at Crewe works in May 1940 No 46242 was the
only surviving locomotive of the three involved in the tragic Harrow accident
and remained in service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from Polmadie
shed in Glasgow to be scrapped during November 1963 by Crewe works.
