Ex-LMS 2-6-0 'Hughes Crab' No 42941 is seen resplendent in British Railways full mixed traffic lined out livery as it shunts in the up marshalling yard. Built at Crewe works in December 1932 No 42941 remained in service until May 1965 when it was withdrawn from Edgeley shed in Stockport to be scrapped in August 1965 by the Central Wagon Company of Ince near Wigan.
