Aerial view of the Trent Valley junctions with the Midland Railway's Birmingham to Leicester line and the LNWR Ashby to Nuneaton branch. The Trent Valley line is running north to south on the extreme right with the junction to the Ashby branch curving away to the right halfway up the line. The bridge carrying the Birmingham to Leicester over the Trent Valley is at the very bottom of the line whilst the connecting line between Nuneaton Trent Valley station and Nuneaton Abbey Street station passes under the same bridge and curves to the left. Completing the triangle of lines is the line from Abbey Street station which passes over the Trent Valley line to join the Ashby branch.
