View of Nuneaton shed long since closed and now abandoned to the rosebay willow herb in August 1968. The shed still retained much of its infrastructure including its rails, lighting and water columns. Being not readily accessed by the public there was no urgency for British Railways to demolish the building and clear the site. The country's finances were stretched and as with any other organisation decisions had to be made as to what the priorities were and demolishing redundant railway infrastructure wasn't normally one of them.
