LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

LMS 2-6-0 5MT No 2973 is seen in steam with the driver climbing aboard to move it off shed for its next turn of duty circa 1947. Built at Crewe works in January 1934 as a member of William Stanier's first design for the LMS No 2973 remained in service until November 1963 when it was withdrawn from Nuneaton shed to be scrapped in December 1963 by Horwich works.
