Ex-LMS 4-6-0 Patriot class No 45537 'Private E Sykes VC' is seen leaving the shed shortly before being withdrawn from service circa 1961. The main running lines between Stafford and Rugby are immediately behind No 45537. Notionally rebuilt at Crewe works from a former LNWR 4-6-0 Claughton in July 1933, No 45537 remained in service until June 1962 being withdrawn from Nuneaton to be stored at Rugby until scrapped in September 1962 by Crewe Works.
