Ex-LNWR 4-6-0 Prince of Wales class No 25797, which was never named, stands below Rugby's coaling plant on 27th August 1938. The coaling plant had two bunkers with each bunker being able to distribute to locomotives via two chutes, one at the front and one at the rear. One bunker served the road adjacent to the plant and the other served the road which passed under the plant. Built by Beardmore & Company to Lot 215 in November 1921 No 25797 remained in service until June 1947 when it was withdrawn from Nuneaton shed to be scrapped at Crewe works.
