Another internal view of Rugby's No 7 replacement signal cabin complete with its 175 lever signal cabin. The lever frame was set against the back wall with the track diagram sited above with the Block Shelf in between. As the cabin replaced the original LNWR No 7 signal cabin the structure was pure LMS including its frame which is raised above the floor. This was to allow the interlocking mechanism to operate above the floor instead of below as was the practice on most other railways. Consequently the levers were shorter in length to compensate as can be seen above.
