Looking south from Clifton Road bridge before removal of the overbridge to Townsend Road in 1963. The branch to Market Harborough is seen curving to the left as it crosses the bridge beneath which are the up goods line and the up main line to Northampton. The latter lines will eventually join with the down line from Northampton, which can be seen on the right of the two elevated tracks. On the right is the down main line from Euston.
