Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45111 is seen coupled to British Railways built 4MT 2-6-4T No 42062 running northwards on the bidirectional engine line on 15th September 1962. Built by the Vulcan Foundry in June 1935 No 45111 was to remain in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 10F Rose Grove shed. The Fairburn designed tank locomotive, No 42062, was built by Derby works in December 1950 and remained in service until May 1965 when it was withdrawn from 2J Aston shed.
