Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45237 is seen with its tender having been removed to resolve an earth fault. Whilst not mentioned in the information on the photo it does look as if the front drivers are off the rails. Built by the Armstrong Whitworth Company in August 1936 No 45237 remained in service until September 1965 when it was withdrawn from 6B Mold Junction shed. Ex-LMS 4P 2-6-4T No 42541 was one of Stanier's two-cylinder designs and was built at Derby to Lot 127 in December 1935 and remain in service until December 1962 when it was withdrawn from 2A Rugby shed.
