Hillmorton Signal Cabin with ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Patriot Class No 45549 passing on an up Northampton express on 16th July 1960. In the foreground is the throat of Hillmorton Sidings which could only be accessed via the main Rugby to Euston line. Built by Crewe works in April 1934, No 45549 was never named and remained in service until June 1962 when it was withdrawn from 8B Dallam Shed in Warrington.
