Ex-LNER A4 4-6-2 No 60007 and ex-LMS Princess Coronation Class 4-6-2 No 46256 'Sir William Stanier FRS' are posed with management on the opening of the Locomotive Testing Station in 1948. Neither locomotive was subjected to testing at Rugby with No 46256 only paying a short visit.
