Rugby Locomotive Testing Station: lnwrrm2661

Ex-LNER B1 4-6-0 No 61353 is seen running at speed whilst being out through its paces on Rugby's test bed. The B1 visited Rugby three times as part of the assessment of its general performance and efficiency tests. The first visit took place from 13th to 20th November 1950, the second occurred between 15th January and 30th March, whilst the last visit took place between 7th June 1951 and 1st August 1951.
