Close up showing the Leicester branch line and the approximate position of the Midland Railway's Signal Box

Close up of image 'lnwrrm3005' showing the Leicester branch line and the approximate position of the second Midland Railway's Signal Box (see image 'lnwrrm3056a'). The box was to the right of the brick built building thought to be associated with T Hunter's wagon repair works. The line to Leicester had a passing loop siding built which was located alongside the Midland's up line (NB. lines to Derby were always designated by the MR as being in the up direction as it was their Head Quarters) and it is on this passing loop that the wagons, some covered with tarpaulins others with men off-loading goods, can be seen.
