Rugby's second station with its three bay porte cochère plays host to two 'Clarence' four-wheeled carriages, one from the 'Royal George Hotel' and the other from the 'Horse Shoes Hotel'. It would appear that the LNWR had a contractual relationship with the Royal George Hotel as both their names are painted on the nearest carriage. Both carriages have rails on the roof to accommodate luggage with the nearest vehicle having luggage on footrest next to the driver.
