Ex-LNWR 'Prince of Wales' 4-6-0 No 25673 'Liusitania' is seen departing from Rugby's Northampton Bay with a semi-fast service for Euston in 1939. This locomotive had quite a following with local enthusiasts and is remembered with some fondness. The locomotive put in a highly creditable performance on the North Wales Coast route at a time when Stanier designs were making many pre-grouping locomotives redundant.
