Ex-LNWR 4-6-0 'Claughton Class No 5933 stands alongside Rugby's train shed ready to take forward an express service. Built as LNWR No 162 by Crewe works in March 1917, the locomotive was renumbered by the LMS in June 1927 which it carried until December 1932 when it was withdrawn from service to be scrapped. Since being built it has been subject to some modification by the LMS being given Ross pop safety valves, an LMS cab roof to give it wider route availability, and a ROD tender. Other items worth noting are the two different number fonts employed, one type on the smokebox numberplate and another on the cab side. LNWR Society's Neville Reed collection.
