Rugby Shed: lnwrrm4003

Ex-WD 2-8-0 No 90066 stands alongside the carriage shed at Rugby shed on 24th February 1963. Built as WD No 846 by the North British Locomotive Company in June 1944, it was renumbered as WD No 70846 in January 1945 and then as LNER No 3066 in February 1947 before British Railways applied No 63066 in November 1948 before renumbering it as No 90066 in July 1951. With this number it remained in service until May 1963 when it was withdrawn from 2G Woodford Halse shed to be scrapped by Crewe works.
