Ex-LMS 4-6-0 'Black Five' No 44909 is seen standing just north of Rugby No 6 Signal Cabin in the mid 1960s. Built by Crewe works as LMS No 4909 in November 1945, it was renumbered by British Railways as No 44909 in August 1949 which it carried until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from 10F Rose Grove Shed to be scrapped by J Cashmores of Great Bridge.
