A 1929 panoramic aerial view showing Rugby's northern approaches on the left and the goods yards in the foreground. Rugby's wooden bridge can be seen dissecting the norther approaches. Originally, the wooden footbridge crossed the LNWR lines exiting the 1850s Rugby station and then descended by steps to a tunnel which passed beneath the Midland Counties Railway's line to Leicester.
