LMS 4-6-2 Princess Royal Coronation class No 6236 'City of Bradford' is seen passing over Newbold water troughs whilst at the head of a down express during the final days of peace in August 1939. The Streamliners could only accommodate their reporting numbers, in this instance, W101, just above the buffers. Built by Crewe works in July 1939 No 6236 was to remain in service until March 1964 when it was withdrawn from Kingmoor shed for scrapping by Crewe works in April 1964.
