LNWR 4-4-0 George V class No 1730 'Snipe' heads an up Wolverhampton to Euston express out of Rugby circa 1919-22. Built at Crewe works in October 1911 No 1730 was allocated another running number by the LMS, No 5376 in July 1927. It was later renumbered in the duplicate list as No 25376 to make way for a Stanier's Black 5 locomotive. The locomotive was eventually withdrawn in December 1947 from 6A Chester shed.
