Rugby Station Pre-grouping Locomotives: lnwrrm835

LNWR 4-4-0 George V class No 984 'Carnavon' pilots unnamed LNWR 4-6-0 Claughton class No 1113 on an up Liverpool to Euston express. Built at Crewe in May 1915 No 984 was renumbered in January 1927 by the LMS as No 5402, and was later placed on the duplicate list as No 25402 to free up the number for a Stanier Black 5 locomotive. As such it continued in service until it was withdrawn in June 1936.
