View of Rugby No 3 signal cabin which controls the scissor crossover and the section of track on the up side of the station. The Signal Cabin had four fewer levers than its opposite number on the up platform having 28 levers but it too was manned 24 hours per day seven days per week. This box was a small and low structure because it only controlled the immediate area around the scissor crossover and therefore visibility was not an issue.
