View of the northern approach to the station with the gantry controlled by Rugby's original No 7 signal cabin which opened on 8th November 1885 and closed on 3rd March 1935. A view looking north from this signal cabin towards the photographer can be seen in image 'lnwrrm2426b'. Its replacement, which was also known as Rugby No 7 signal cabin, was sited on the opposite side of the lines. On the left, adjacent to the signal gantry, is a standard LNWR fogman's hut. This photograph was taken during 1933.
