Ex-LNWR 5XP 4-6-0 Claughton Class No 5947 has just taken on water before moving forward to be turned on 16th December 1933. Built as LNWR No 2431 at Crewe works in June 1917 No 5947 was renumbered by the LMS in March 1924 which it carried until February 1935 when it was withdrawn to be scrapped by Crewe works.
