Close up of image 'lnwrrm977' showing ex-MR 4-4-0 2P No 543 with the original Deeley tender the class were fitted with prior to Henry Fowler's version circa 1947. The MR Compound had 7 foot 0 inch drivers whilst the later LMS version had 6 foot 6 inch driving wheels together with lower boiler fittings, chimney and dome, together with a flatter cab roof profile to allow it have a greater route availability particularly in Scotland.
