LMS 5XP 4-6-0 large boilered Claughton class No 5962 stands above the inspection pit outside No 1 shed on 21st Oct 1934. Built as No 194 at Crewe works in January 1920 it received the LMS No 5962 in February 1927 and ran in service until December 1935 when it was withdrawn from service to be scrapped by Crewe works.
