LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Harborne

Looking beneath Rotton Park Road overbridge towards Harborne junction in 1949 with M & B's sidings commencing on the left. The M & B sidings are therefore behind the photographer with the site of the former station seen through the archway of the bridge. The buffer stop on the left of the running line was at the end of the short blind siding that was part of the safety points required when the branch was open to passenger traffic. The notice board reads: 'Drivers must not pass this board until authorised by the guard'.
