View of part of the site of the former station with Selwyn Road overbridge in the middle distance in 1949. The timber structure seen on the left is a hut used by the Permanent Way gang maintaining this section of the branch. It would be used to both provide mess facilities as well as for storing tools and equipment. It would appear that the lower quadrant signal seen in photographs of the station has been replaced by this upper quadrant signal; presumably when the station was demolished and when the loop was removed.
