An 1882 Ordnance Survey map showing Soho East Junction on the left above Perrot Street and Winson Green Junction on the right. Whilst the formation and crossovers have been installed for the line to Winson Green the track has yet to be laid. The primary purpose of the line was to divert northbound freight traffic away from New Street which this would achieve, hence the priority of laying the line to Soho Soap Works Junction first.
