LMS Route: Rugby to Wolverhampton
Tile Hill Station: lnwrth1302b
Close up of image 'lnwrth1302' showing the single storey
building built by the LNWR and which formed Tile Hill station's booking office.
The bay window allowed the booking clerk to look along both platforms in order
to check for arrivals. The writer lived in Parkwood Lane, off Charter Avenue
and frequently used the line to Coventry. There was a narrow covered corridor
between the booking office and the London & Birmingham Railway's crossing
keeper's house. Amongst the various posters are two referring to a Fair and
Hauliers.
