LMS Route: Rugby to Wolverhampton

Looking towards Coventry with the new signal box on the right and the former LNWR signal cabin on the left. The overhead catenary wires are now in place shortly to go live. This view shows how close the cantilevered cabin was to the wires and demonstrates effectively the reason why the former signal cabin was demolished. The traditional style of other LNWR signal cabins at Canley and Berkswell etc caused no fouling and they therefore remained intact until the new Power Signal Box at Coventry came on stream.
