It is unlikely that that this was a waiting room with en-suite facilities which was once an everyday sight in stations erected in the Victorian or Edwardian period. In this instance it is the description applied to the ladies toilet. The Gentlemen's urinals has a small brick structure on the roof. This would have accommodated the water for the urinals and cisterns. Behind the building adjacent to Duddeston Mill Road bridge is a water tank being used to supply both sets of toilets.
