LNWR 2-2-2-0 No 301 'Economist' stands in Warwick Shed's yard alongside the signal gantry. A member of Webb's Experiment class of compound locomotives, No 301 was built at Crewe in March 1883 and remained in service until October 1904 when it was withdrawn to be scrapped.
