Warwick shed seen on the day of its closure on Saturday 18th November 1958 with a Stanier and Ivatt locomotives in steam. The ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 on the left is thought to be No 48018 which transferred from Warwick shed to 2E Northampton shed, the identity of the next two Stanier 2-6-2T locomotives are unknown although the locomotive at the rear is 'Motor' fitted. The two locomotives on the right are: British Railways built Ivatt 2-6-2T No 41321 built at Derby in February 1952 waiting to be transferred to 2A Rugby shed before being withdrawn from 72A Exmouth Junction shed in July 1965; ex-LMS Stanier 3P 2-6-2T No 40122 also built at Derby but in August 1935 also waiting to be transferred, but in this instance, to 9G Gorton shed after which it remained in service until June 1962 when it was withdrawn from 6G Llandudno Junction shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge.
