Ex-LNWR 1P 2-4-2T No 6683 is still carrying LMS livery as stands at the head of a Leamington to Nuneaton service in June 1951. Built in July 1893 at Crewe No 6683 was renumbered as British Railway No 46683 which it carried only for a very short period of time as it was withdrawn from Warwick shed in February 1953 and scrapped at Crewe in March 1953. Reg Kimber writes, 'My favourite Webb 2-4-2T was No 6669 which I cabbed when it was in the Coventry parcels bay just before scrapping. It had a wobbly chimney which had rusted so much you could see through it in places.
