Warwick (Milverton) Station, Goods Yard and Shed: lnwrwm1a

A British Railways 1:1250 Scale Map of Warwick Milverton station, the goods yard and shed in 1952

A British Railways 1:1250 Scale Map of Warwick Milverton station, the goods yard and shed in 1952. The Map shows there were six sidings into the yard with another two leading to a landing stage on which was a fixed 3 ton hand operated crane. Another siding led into and through the goods shed whilst a further two sidings were located between the rear of the down platform and goods shed. These two sidings were provided to handle the wagons needing to enter or leave the goods shed. The shed had six roads leading inside with another running adjacent to the shed and to the rear of the properties in Edward Street. The other side of the shed had a large elevated water tank with two roads beneath the tank, one of which accommodated the loco coal wagons, the other the locomotive being coaled. This line continued to the turntable from where the locomotive could be released either via another line between the shed and and tank or via another line which ran between the tank and the goods yard.
