Ex-MR 0-6-0 3F No 43812 is seen at the head of a westbound Class J mineral train on 7th March 1950. The locomotive is carrying a 21A shed plate on the bottom of the smokebox door which indicates that its allocated to Saltley shed. Built as a member of the MR's 2736 class in July 1906 by Derby works, No 43812 was to remain in service until June 1961 when it was withdrawn from Saltley shed to be scrapped during September 1961 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
