Lifford Station Junction: mr_lif821

Looking towards Kings Norton with Lifford Station signal box on the left and Lifford Curve on the right on 29th July 1957. Lifford goods yard is to the right and behind the photographer. Access to Lifford goods yard was now very convoluted being via Lifford Curve. This meant that goods traffic from the direction of Camp Hill had to stop on the main down line just past the signal box and then reverse on to the main up line before moving forward on to the down line on Lifford Curve before finally reversing into the yard via the siding seen on the extreme right.
