LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Lifford Station Junction: mr_lif824

Looking towards Lifford Station Junction signal box with the junction of the original Birmingham West Suburban Railway on the right. This led to the second Lifford station building seen in image 'mr_lif496' and became the through canal branch which remained in use until the mid-1960s. On the right can be seen the ground frame which controlled train movements at this end of the branch. It was, in turn, controlled by Lifford Station Junction signal box being exercised through the fitting of a bolt lock.
