The dual operation Midland Railway signal post seen in image 'mra550' with the buffer stop to the twelve vehicle siding on the right. The top signal is the down advanced starter whilst the lower signal, which is fixed to the other side of the post, is the up inner home signal. Beyond the buffer stop can be seen a P&W lineside hut used both to store component parts as well as mess facilities as illustrated by the tall chimney.
