This is twenty months prior to the yard's closure on 4th January 1965. Above
the rear DMU car is a small hut of the type used by Platelayers or for storing
lamps and the stores required to service the signals along the route. Adjacent
to the hut is the station's cattle dock which formed part of the landing dock
used for loading and off-loading road vehicles and heavy items.
