Fairburn 2-6-4T No 42141, allocated to Saltley from new in April 1950, is seen here just after leaving Bournville on a local service on Thursday 31st January 1952. It seems to be leaking too much steam to be in good working order, and was reallocated to Yorkshire in August that year, perhaps after a works visit. Still in Yorkshire when it was withdrawn for scrap in September 1967, it stayed intact until broken up in February 1968.
