View looking towards Derby with Bromford Bridge station Signal Box on the right and on the left the private sidings of the former Bromford Tube Company Tube Investments Ltd. Note on the right the single seven-plank mineral wagon with the red flag hung on the side indicating that its not to be used, presumably because of a defect such as a hot axle box. The photograph was taken on 3rd August 1969 just a few weeks before the signal box was to close because of the opening of Saltley Power Box which was to control a substantial section of the route out of Birmingham.
