LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No 80063 arrives at the station on an Ashchurch to Birmingham New Street local passenger train. The BR Standards were used on the route during its last years being shedded at Saltley for use on local services in the Birmingham area. Number 80063 was built at Brighton works to Lot 5271 in May 1953 and as with all BR Standard locomotives never lasted long in revenue service being withdrawn from Corkerhill shed, Glasgow, in August 1966 to be scrapped by Metal Industries of Faslane in November 1966.
