Broom Junction Station: mrbj1315a

Close up of image 'mrbj1315' showing the replacement signals located at the southern end of the island platform. The sign on the side of the station building reads 'Booking Office'. The bracket signal appears to have had the top two posts replaced along with their semaphore signal arms, the latter being pressed steel versions. There are three buildings located alongside the road embankment which would have been used by the Permanent Way gang to maintain the line on either side of the station. The gas lamppost sited in the goods yard alongside the boarded crossing, still remains in-situ and in clean condition but without a lantern.
