A three car Class 101 Metro-Cammell unit arrives at Castle
Bromwich station on an up service in 1963. The absence of the destination blind
prevents us from knowing the trains destination but most likely it was heading
to Walsall via the Sutton Park line or possibly to Nuneaton. On the gable end
of the down platform's waiting on the left are a number of fire buckets which
were mandatory during the steam era on British Railways.
