Birmingham Central Goods Station: mrcgy691

An external view of the Midland Railway Central Goods Station Offices located between Holliday Street on the left and Allport Street on the right. The offices were located in a little triangle of land with Suffolk Street providing the third boundary. The building in the background is on Suffolk Street and is the former Central Grammar School which then housed the Matthew Boulton Technical College. Mike Ellis, the photographer wrote 'I shot the film in October 1964 to record buildings about to be lost with the redevelopment of the city centre'.
